Urko Herrán y Onditz Iturbe conquistan la 45º Media Maratón de Vitoria

More than 2,500 athletes take part in a race with an increase in female participation compared to the previous edition.

Urko Herrán has put the finishing touch to 2023 this Sunday after winning with authority in the 45th edition of the Half Marathon of Vitoria-Gasteiz. The runner from Gasteiz adds his third consecutive victory in this race and, in addition, establishes his personal best with a time of 1:06:27. Onditz Iturbe, on the other hand, made history among the women as she pulverized the personal record set by Nieves Zarza since 1999.

The 45th edition of the Half Marathon of Vitoria-Gasteiz has once again attracted many onlookers despite the freezing temperatures at the time when the starting gun was fired. The race attracted more than 2,500 runners from all over the world, an unmistakable sign of how consolidated the event is in the calendar of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
